Dave Graf - Just Like That

Three years in the making, Dave Graf's new release Just Like That is the work of a pure musician who has patiently crafted a recording to reflect his wide range of musical influences. From the Latin-influenced Graf composition “7 Train” (featuring the great Nachito Herrera on piano) to Jerome Kern's “I Won't Dance,” Graf's playing and arrangements exhibit the serene cool of an artist at-ease with his craft.  When Dave plays, every note counts. The same goes for solo spotlights – check out Dave Karr's sax on “Al's Way” (Karr's triute to Al Cohn) or Dean Magraw's guitar on Monk's “Pannonica”. 

Dave and his co-arrangers Adi Yeshaya and Wade Clark make the wide ranging tunes into a cohesive whole and their inspiration is reflected in the playing of every musician.
